Dhokra is a tribal lost-wax brass and bronze casting technique. Each artifact is unique because the clay mold must be broken to release the molten metal sculpture.

Historical Lineage

One of the earliest known metal casting techniques, dating directly back to the Mohenjo-Daro 'Dancing Girl'.

Master Technique

Clay core molded, wound with beeswax threads for intricate details, encased in outer clay shell, heated to melt wax, and filled with molten bell metal.
