Bomkai (originally from Ganjam and perfected in Sonepur) merges the brilliance of supplementary-weft weaving with tie-dye bandha borders. This saree uses wild organic Tussar silk with a rich, textured matte sheen, contrasted with deep terracotta and gold zari pallu work.

Artisan Lore & Symbolism:Bomkai sarees were historically worn by priests and aristocracy during sacred temple coronations. The motifs—such as the Rukha (pestle), Machha (fish), and Peacock—are woven with ancient Jala attachments without digital machines.
